Kankakee City Police report buildings hit by gunfire

Two buildings were damaged, but no one was injured when shots were fired in the City of Kankakee Sunday afternoon. According to reports, it was just after 4:30 yesterday afternoon when officers were called to the 15-hundred block of East Bourbonnais for a report of shots fired. When they got there, officers reportedly found several spent shell casings and two abandoned bikes in the middle of the road. During the investigation it was found two homes in the area had been hit by gunfire, one reportedly had a round enter their home, the other had damage to a garage.
