Stabbing Early This Morning in Kankakee

A stabbing allegedly occurred early this morning on Kankakee’s north side. According to city police reports, officers were called to the 100 block of north eighth avenue for a report of someone being stabbed. When police got there, the victim was seen walking on West Stone Street and North Eighth Avenue. Officers could see the victim appeared to have a wound on his left arm. The victim took off the hoodie he was wearing and officers could see a small cut on the upper area of his left arm that was no longer bleeding. The victim claims he was at home in the 100 block of north eighth avenue when he got into an argument with the alleged suspect over money which led to the stabbing. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
