Iroquois County to open cooling centers

The Iroquois County Emergency Management Agency has announced cooling center locations that will be available for Iroquois County residents during any upcoming hot summer days.  The cooling centers will be offering air-conditioned relief during periods of extreme heat or when an Excessive Heat Advisory or Warning is issued by the National Weather Service. Some cooling center locations include the Ashkum Coliseum, Chebanse Community Building, Cissna Park Village Hall, Gilman City Hall, the Milford Christian Church, Sheldon Public Library, Watseka Public Library, and the Watseka Walmart.
