Bradley Police report alleged stabbing early this morning

According to reports, officers saw a ford pick up truck driving at a high rate of speed west bound of West Broadway Street around 2:30 this morning, when the driver of the truck yelled out the window that his friend had been stabbed and was taking them to the hospital. Once Bradley police arrived at the hospital, they began gathering information from the driver who was identified as DeJuan Grant of Momence. Before Grant could finish, he fled on foot from the ER. Police conducted a probable cause search of Grant’s truck, which turned up a firearm, drugs, and a large amount of cash. Grant was later captured and placed into custody. A further investigation of the stabbing alleges a 17 year old female juvenile pulled a knife and stabbed the victim several times in the shoulder and neck area.The juvenile offender fled as victim, witness, and Grant relocated to the ER.The Juvenile offender turned herself in to Bradley police and been charged with one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. No word on the victim’s condition.
