A camper fire tied up traffic for a time on the southbound side of I-57 this morning. It was just after 10 this morning when emergency personnel were called to the scene at the 308 exit and found the trailer already disconnected from the vehicle that was towing it. Reports say while there has been no exact cause has been named, suspected brake failure on the camper is thought to have been the culprit.
