Flu up across the state

Respiratory viruses continue to be a problem across the United States. The latest numbers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show Illinois to be in the high category when it come to flu transmission with Indiana rated as “very high”. Kankakee County Health Department Administrator John Bevis says there are some things you can do to help stop the spread of the flu

Bevis said it’s also helpful to open your windows and air out the house when the weather cooperates. He said the flu this year is hitting children 5-17 years old the hardest, while those 60 and older seem to be the most affected by COVID.
