Domestic disturbance lands Manteno Police a gun arrest

A call for a domestic disturbance Wednesday netted Manteno Police a gun arrest. In a press release, Manteno Police say they were called to the area of the 100 block of North Main Street after a witness said they’d seen a woman hit a man. Reports say that man, identified as 19-year-old Anthony E. Camacho of Chicago, was wanted in connection to a shoplifting report that happened at a Manteno gas station on Tuesday. While taking Camacho into custody a search allegedly turned up a semi-automatic pistol with an extended magazine. In addition to the retail theft charge, Camacho was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a firearm and other gun-related charges.
