Kankakee Police Report Battery at a Bar

Kankakee City Police report a man was punched in the eye while trying to break up a fight at a bar early Sunday morning. According to reports, it was just after 1:30 yesterday morning when the bouncer at the bar in the 200 block of South Schuyler Avenue tried to remove two people, who knocked the bouncer down and started punching him. The victim. who was an off duty bouncer for the bar, started to intervene and was punched in the eye. The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries. City Police continue to investigate.
