Kankakee Police make gun arrest

A call for shots fired Wednesday night netted Kankakee City Police a gun arrest. According to reports, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of south rosewood avenue around 7:30 Wednesday night for a recent shots fired incident. Once they arrived, police observed two men jump into a red hummer H2 and drove away. Officers pulled over the hummer in the 400 block of east hickory street for a traffic violation. The men inside the car were identified as 37 year old Eugene Henderson and 27 year old Marquis R. Moore. A search of Moore turned up a loaded handgun. Neither Moore or Henderson had valid FOID cards or Concealed Carry Licenses and are convicted felons. Both were charged with possession of a firearm by a felon among other charges.
