A Wisconsin man was arrested in Braceville Sunday after he was found to be driving a stolen car. Grundy County Sheriff’s Police report it was just after four yesterday morning when deputies were called to check on a pick-up on Route 53 at Huston Road. Deputies say they found the pick-up in the middle of the road with its flashers on. A check of the plate found it to have been allegedly stolen out of Champaign. Deputies asked the driver to get out of the pick-up, but he refused. A struggle ensued and during the struggle, the driver, identified as 27-year-old Matthew J. Baumgartner of Wisconsin, allegedly head-butted a Braidwood Police officer. Officers arrested Baumgartner for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and aggravated battery to a police officer.
