At Monday night’s Kankakee City Council Meeting an ordinance was passed to extend the conditional use permit by one year for the construction of the QuikTrip gas station on the city’s south side near I-57 exit 308. Mayor Chris Curtis says they’ve faced several hurdles with this project.
Mayor Curtis added QuikTrip hopes to break ground this April with the goal to be open by May 2027.
