During last night’s Manteno Village Board meeting, trustees voted down a liquor and gaming license for a business that was looking to open a wine and whiskey bar in the Village that also wanted to have gaming available. During the Trustees Comments portion of the meeting, Trustee Mike Barry said he was baffled.
Those who voted against the license noted their concern that the business would be more of a gaming facility than a wine bar and suggested the business open as a wine bar for a few months, then approach the board again for a gaming license.
