Kankakee City Council passed a resolution at Monday night’s meeting to have an environmental survey conducted in the river near the Hydroelectric Power Plant as rehabilitation of the facility continues. Mayor Chris Curtis says the study is needed to re-license the dam.
Mayor Curtis says the study will cost close to 25-thousand dollars.
