GCMS Teacher set to Plea

A former Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley teacher charged with sexually abusing a student is reaching a plea agreement in the case.  Ford County Circuit Court records say a hearing is set for February 18th for Robert Dinkins to enter a plea.  Dinkins was arrested last June in Macon, Georgia on charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.  An investigation was launched last March after the parents of a GCMS student said their child had received concerning texts from Dinkins.  The investigation found that Dinkins had participated in sexual activities with a high-school age student.
