A trial date has been set for the 59-year-old Watseka woman accused of official misconduct when she was administrator for the Iroquois County Public Health Department. The Ford County Chronicle reports Dee Ann Schippert appeared in court Wednesday, where an October 19th date was set for her trial for theft, forgery and official misconduct. 21st Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Bill Dickinson was assigned to the case after two Iroquois County Judges recused themselves. Schippert was charged in March of 2024 with 33 felonies after it was discovered she allegedly stole more than 100-thousand-dollars from the Health Department between May of 2020 and July 2022. Authorities say Schippert submitted fraudulent timesheets claiming overtime and back pay she never earned.
