79th District State Representative Jackie Haas is responding to the Governor’s proposal. Haas says the budget is still the largest in Illinois history with spending continuing to grow in an unstable rate.
Representative Haas went on to say this budget raises costs, it increases spending, and fails to deliver the real relief that’s needed most. The proposed budget totals 56-billion dollars in spending in fiscal year 2027 beginning on July 1st, which is up 878-million, or one point six percent from the current year.
