A traffic stop Wednesday night netted Kankakee City Police a gun arrest. According to reports, it was just after 8:30 last night when officers stopped a car in the area of Merchant and Elm for a traffic violation. Reports say officers could see those inside the car moving around like they were trying to hide something. When they got to the care, City Police say they could see open alcohol inside the car. A search allegedly turned up suspected crack cocaine on the driver, identified as 61-year-old Glenn D. Reed and a loaded gun on the passenger, identified as 46-year-old Jameco J King. Reed was arrested by City Police for possession of a controlled substance. King arrested for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
