Kankakee City Police Report a man was Beaten Outside his Home Early This Morning

Kankakee City Police report a man was beaten outside his home in the 12-hundred block of South 7th Avenue early this morning. According to reports, it was just before three this morning when officers were called by the man who said he’d been stabbed. When they got there, police say they found the victim bleeding from cuts all over his torso. The victim told police he’d been in his room and heard things being moved around outside his residence. The man said when he went out to confront those making the noise, a man with gold front teeth hit him in the head and then he was jumped by two more men who cut him with something he thought was a box cutter. Reports say the suspects took off in a white box truck. The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
