KAMEG Agents Report Three Drug Arrests Thursday

Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group Agents report three drug arrests after a search warrant was executed at a home on Kankakee’s north east side Thursday. According to a press release, KAMEG agents, assisted by Kankakee City Police, executed the search warrant just before 4:30 Thursday afternoon at a home in the 900 Block of North Harrison Avenue. Once inside, agents found thirteen adults and one male juvenile in the house along with nine grams of suspected crack cocaine, fifteen grams of suspected cannabis, multiple drug paraphernalia items and cash. Following the investigation, 56-year-old Dorothy J. Townes, 55-year-old Ernest L. Brookshaw, and 55-year-old Avant A. Shelton, all of Kankakee were placed under arrest and charged with various drug related charges. The juvenile was released to a family member.
