Kankakee City Police Investigate alleged Robbery

Kankakee City Police are investigating after they were called by a woman who said her boyfriend had been robbed. According to reports, it was just after three Sunday afternoon, when officers were called to the 400 block of South Dearborn Avenue by a woman who said she and her boyfriend were walking nearby, when a brown SUV pulled up behind them and five men got out. The woman said one of the men pulled a gun and he and another man started chasing her boyfriend. The pair allegedly took the man’s backpack during the chase. City Police say they’re looking into the alleged robbery.
