Momence Police Report Residential Burglary Arrest

Momence Police report the arrest of a Hoopeston man after he allegedly burglarized the home of a City of Momence Alderman. According to a Facebook post from Momence Police, 71-year-old Carl Shipman was arrested Thursday after an investigation and stolen property was recovered. The post went on to say what initially appeared to be a random crime of opportunity quickly developed into a complex investigation. Shipman has been charged with residential burglary and theft.
