Bourbonnais Police will now be able to issue a ticket to someone caught shoplifting in the Village. Village Attorney Patrick Dunn.
Bourbonnais Police Chief Dave Morfield said sometimes businesses just want their property back and don’t want to press charges, by being able to make it an ordinance violation there is still a consequence to shoplifting.
Fines will be between 50 and 750 dollars per instance.
