Red Cross Shelter Closes in Kankakee

The American Red Cross Emergency Shelter that helped those affected by the March 10th storms has closed. According to a press release from the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office, the shelter at Redeeming Life Ministries on Waldron Road in Kankakee closed on Saturday. Officials say the Red Cross shelter closed because of a lack of need at this point.
