The 10th Annual Women United Breakfast held Wednesday morning at Olivet Nazarene University raised over 33-thousand dollars. According to a press release from United Way of Kankakee and Iroquois Counties, more than two-hundred-sixty people attended the breakfast Wednesday. This year’s theme was “Growing a Thriving Legacy.” and the featured speaker was Doctor Melvina Calvin-Edwards who is the Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Law Enforcement & Criminal Justice Programs at Kankakee Community College. The money raised at the breakfast will go towards programs that benefit women and girls across Kankakee and Iroquois Counties.
