Cedar Lake Woman Crashes SUV into Crown Point House

A Cedar Lake, Indiana woman was injured after she drove her car into a home in Crown Point Wednesday. According to the Lake County Indiana Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the crash just after five Wednesday evening at 129th and Tyler just south of Crown Point. Once on the scene, they saw a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV had left the roadway, struck a house, and then rolled over. The crash created a hole in the front of the home. Luckily, no one was home at the time. It’s believed the 69-year-old female driver may have suffered a medical episode which caused her to lose control of the SUV. She was transported to a local hospital and is said to be in stable condition.
