Kankakee City Police Report Residential Theft on Wednesday

Kankakee City Police report a residential theft Wednesday on the city’s west side. According to reports, officers were called to a home on West Hickory Street around two Wednesday afternoon regarding a theft. When they arrived, the victim told police he noticed his downstairs closet door was open with the light on. The victim said this was out of the ordinary  because he did not leave it that way before he left his house. The man said when he looked in the closet, he noticed his PING I-430 golf clubs and bag were missing, along with a Milwaukee tool set. The victim stated his home is split into two units and the closet is located in a common area left unlocked for delivery drivers and maintenance personnel. Together, the golf clubs and tools are worth around three-thousand dollars.
