Gas prices are up again across the region with no sign of slowing down. Triple-A says the average price for a gallon of regular no-lead gas is four-dollars-29 cents across the Land of Lincoln, that’s up nearly a dime in the past week and nearly 90 cents more expensive than at this time last month. Triple-A says things are slightly better in Kankakee County where that gallon of gas is running 4.17 on average, still 91 cents more expensive than a month ago. A gallon of gas is running 4.02 on average in Iroquois County, 4.20 in Grundy County and 4.28 in Will County according to Triple-A.
Across the state line, that gallon of gas will set you back three-dollars-84 cents on average in Newton County, four-dollars and a penny on average in Benton County and three-dollars-99 cents a gallon in Jasper County. Triple-A says gas is running three-dollars-90 cents a gallon on average across the Hoosier State.
