Illinois State Police are investigating a fatal, officer involved shooting in the Village of Bradley. In a press release, ISP says it was just before one yesterday afternoon when Bradley Police were called to a well-being check in the 600 block of Jonette Avenue. When they got there, officers say they encountered a man with what’s being described as a bladed weapon. The man allegedly disobeyed orders to stop and continued to advance toward officers, who shot the man. He was taken to the hospital where he later died. No officers were hurt. No names have been released at this time. The incident caused a lockdown for a short time at Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School. Authorities say there was never any danger to students at the school.
