Former Cigna Building in Bourbonnais to be torn down

Riverside Healthcare announced in a Facebook post yesterday that the building donated to them in Bourbonnais will be torn down. The former Cigna building, located at 4882 N. Convent Street, was donated to Riverside Healthcare last year. According the post, Riverside Healthcare President and CEO Phil Kambic stated that they considered all ways that the building could be repurposed for the community, but determined that the cost of remediation is too high due to the water and mold damage the building has taken. There is no announcement yet as to what the donated property will be used for when the building is removed.
