Kankakee City Business burglarized

Kankakee City Police responded to an alleged burglary of a business in the 100 Block of East Brookmont Boulevard Saturday. According to reports, officers were called to the business just be three Saturday afternoon for the burglary that allegedly happened earlier that morning. When police arrived, an employee showed them footage of a man supposedly entering the storage shed attached to the northwest corner of the building. The business owner said he became suspicious once he discovered six exchange heaters were missing from the shed. Police located a man matching the description of the video footage around 4:30 Saturday afternoon and placed him under arrest. 41-year-old Jose Zambrano-Garcia has been charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, unlawful possession of a controlled substance among other charges.
