Today is National Teacher Appreciation Day. NationalDayCalendar.com says it’s a day set aside to thank all teachers for their time and dedication to educate our children. Suggestions on how we can show gratitude to the teachers in our lives include refilling classroom supplies, writing a thank you letter, or volunteering in the classroom. According to the I-KAN Regional Office of Education, there are over 2,100 educators across Kankakee and Iroquois Counties.
