Rte 66 exhibit opens May 23rd

The Illinois State Museum is kicking off a new exhibit on Route 66 later this month.  “Miles of Memories: Stories of Route 66” opens May 23rd.  The exhibition highlights the experience of living, working and traveling along U.S. Route 66 during its heyday.  It will feature Route 66 memorabilia, including vintage souvenirs, neon signs, fiberglass advertising figures and Burma-Shave signs.
