Gas prices are dropping slowly as we head toward Memorial Day weekend. Triple-A says the average cost for a gallon of regular no-lead gas is five-dollars-three cents across the Land of Lincoln, down a penny overnight. Triple-A says that gallon of gas is averaging four-dollars-91 cents in the Kankakee area, also down a penny from yesterday. Gas in Iroquois and Ford Counties is running 4.94 on average, it’s 4.90 on average in Grundy County and 5.07 a gallon in Will County.
Across the State Line, Triple-A says a gallon of gas will set you back four-dollars-six cents on average in Newton County, it’s 4:24 in Benton County and 4.10 on average in Jasper County. Triple-A says a gallon of gas is running 4.07 on average across the Hoosier State.
