The Bears organization are focusing on a stadium site near Wolf Lake in Hammond, Indiana. Team executives released a statement yesterday that says they have an excellent option already in place. Bears officials say they have started testing soil at Wolf Lake Terminal, which is west of I-90 near their original proposed location. The team’s board of directors voted this month to move forward with plans for the team to move to Hammond but fell short of committing to building a stadium there. The Bears own 326 acres in northwest suburban Arlington Heights and have said they remain open to continued talks with Illinois legislators.
