Lieutenant Czako says the Park Service and Coast Guard both have websites you can use to find out about river conditions. He adds, swimming isn’t the only thing that can be dangerous on the river, boating can be dangerous as well
Czako adds that while the river is receding after recent rains, it is still up and could be hiding dangers you can’t see from the surface, so it might be best to avoid the river in the near future.
