You may have noticed construction on Kankakee’s East Riverwalk project has slowed up the past three weeks or so. City Engineer Neil Piggush explained at Monday night’s city council meeting that more soil testing needed to be conducted in order to move forward.
Piggush says they hope to resume work on the East Riverwalk sometime this week or next week depending on the weather.
