DEA searches Lowell Animal Hospital

Chicago media reports say the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency conducted a search warrant yesterday morning at an animal hospital in Lowell, Indiana. WGN TV says they DEA told them the search was part of an ongoing investigation related to alleged diversion of controlled substances.   The Lowell Animal Hospital posted on its Facebook page the search warrant was related to a canine cough prescription the DEA thought was being prescribed with too much frequency. The animal hospital had planned to reopen yesterday afternoon.
