After roughly four hours of deliberation late Friday, the jury in the Xandria Harris murder trial has found her guilty of first degree murder, attempted murder, and aggravated battery in the December 2021 shooting death of Bradley Police Sergeant Marlene Rittmanic and severe wounding of Officer Tyler Bailey. Harris has been found guilty of aiding her then boyfriend in the crime, Darius Sullivan, who was tried and convicted last year. Sullivan is now serving a life sentence. Originally, Harris was also facing child endangerment charges but they were dropped just before closing arguments Friday. A setting hearing has been scheduled for Harris on September 11th, where a sentencing date will be set.
