Another day, another leap in gas prices. Triple-A says the average cost for a gallon of regular no-lead gas is now four-dollars-78 cents across the Land of Lincoln. That’s a 16 cent jump overnight. Gas in the Kankakee area is running 4.75 on average, up 13 cents from yesterday price and 20 cents more expensive than it was at this time last week. Triple-A says gas is averaging 4.67 in Iroquois County, 4.61 in Ford County, 4.76 in Grundy County and four-dollars-84 cents a gallon in Will County.
Across the State line, Triple-A says a gallon of gas will set you back three-dollars-93 cents on average in Newton County. It’s running 3.92 a gallon in Benton County and 4.17 on average in Jasper County. Triple-A says gas is running three-dollars-92 cents a gallon on average across the Hoosier State.
