Manteno Police make drug arrests

Manteno Police report a pair of drug arrests. According to reports, it was just before three Tuesday afternoon that officers were called to a home in the 400 block of West Division, where neighbors said they’d seen a suspicious pickup truck in the driveway of a home loading and unloading items from the property. Officers say while talking to the driver of the truck, identified as 29-year-old Jeremy Weigel of Bradley, a baggie with a white powdery substance inside fell out of his pocket when he got his wallet out to give police his driver’s license. A further search of the truck allegedly turned up various drugs and drug paraphernalia in the purse belonging to one of the passengers. Both Weigel and the passenger, 32-year-old Megan M Bull of Bourbonnais were taken into custody on preliminary charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
