Boshears Attorney’s Cry Foul

Attorneys for accused killer Jeremy Boshears are crying foul because of an effort by prosecutors to not allow an expert defense witness who is expected to testify that 24 year old Katie Kearns may have killed herself.   Kearns died from a gunshot wound to the head, her body was found in her SUV near St Anne in 2017.  Prosecutors say the expert’s testimony would be speculative.  An investigation determined Kearns was shot at the Outlaws motorcycle club headquarters in Joliet.  Boshears was a member of the club and prosecutors say the two were dating at the time.  The trial is set to begin in October.
