Man Arrested after Stealing Wilmington Ambulance

A man accused of stealing a Wilmington ambulance in Joliet is in police custody.  Henry McCall has been charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, aggravated fleeing and eluding, obstructing a peace officer, and driving with a suspended license.  Police say the defendant stole a Wilmington Fire Department ambulance early yesterday morning from St. Joseph Medical Center.  Police began to pursue McCall.  The defendant then crashed into another vehicle, lost control and the ambulance rolled over a guardrail and fell in a ditch.  McCall left the scene during a brief foot chase before he was taken into custody.
