Summer Food Safety

Summertime means cookouts and summer picnics. Ryan Wheeler, Director of Environmental Health for the Iroquois County Public Health Department has a few tips to avoid food-related illness this summer. Wheeler says it really boils down to five basic rules

Wheeler says leftover food should be put in the refrigerator in less than two hours. He adds if you have any food safety questions, you can call the health department at 815-432-2483.
