Kankakee Police Recover Stolen Car

Kankakee City Police say a car that was reported stolen over the weekend has been recovered. According to reports, officers were called to the 100 block of West Court Street late Sunday night when a woman said her car had been stolen. The victim told police she had left the keys inside the car as she went into a shop and came out to find her car gone. About 20 minutes later the car was found in the 18-hundred-block of Meadowview Avenue where a man was reportedly seen jumping from the car and running to a nearby truck. Police took the car into custody.
