Gas Leak Amount Not Known

Marathon Petroleum officials say today they still do not know how much gasoline was spilled from a pipeline Wednesday afternoon in Iroquois County.  A Marathon spokesperson does say in The News Gazette that the spill which occurred about three miles east of Gilman, was caused by third party excavation activity.    The leak was quickly contained and cleanup operations are still ongoing.  Officials say no wildlife in the area has been affected by the leak.
