Kinzinger Taking More Heat from His Own Party

It’s not just the hard right who are upset with Congressman Adam Kinzinger.   More and more of the rank and file in the house are calling on House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to relieve Kinzinger and Liz Cheney of their committee assignments after Kinzinger joined Cheney over the weekend in accepting a seat on the select committee investigation of the January 6 ^th riot in D.C..  In a press release a Kinzinger spokesman suggested that if the two are punished by the party it would be an example of a bigger problem with McCarthys leadership.   Kinzinger represents Iroquois County and areas west of Kankakee County.
