Looks Like Masks for District 111 Next Year

It looks like students and staff in district 111 schools will be wearing masks in the upcoming school year.  At this week’s school board meeting several board members expressed concern about kids not being masked and cited the delta variant of the virus and a low county wide vaccination rate of just 36.3percent as justification for the policy.  The state’s average vaccination rate is 61.8 percent.  The Daily Journal reports a final vote on the matter is expected at next month’s meeting.
