K3 County moved to “High Transmission” category for COVID-19

As of this morning,  Kankakee County has joined the majority of the counties in Illinois in the High Transmission category for COVID-19. According to the Kankakee County Health Department’s Facebook Page, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention defines “high transmission” as over 100 cases per 100-thousand people in the past seven days. There have been 134 cases in Kankakee County over the past week, translating to about 122 per 100-thousand. The Health Department goes on to say they strongly suggest you wear a mask while indoors anywhere outside your own home. There’s more on the Health Department’s website or their Facebook page.
