A Joliet man has been found guilty of striking a Dwight police officer in Livingston County Court. Police were called to the Amtrak Station in Dwight in November of 2019 where the conductor asked that police remove a man who had no ticket and was making a disturbance. While officers were escorting 32 year old Hakeem Williams off the train Williams struck the officer. He was found guilty of aggravated battery to a police officer, a class 2 felony.
