Fatal Fire Victim Identified

We have the name now of a woman who died in an apartment fire in Peotone over the weekend.  The Will County Coroner’s office identifies the victim as 49 year old Kendra Morgan.  Morgan died when flames erupted in the multi-family apartment building in the 500 block of South Schroder Ave. about 12:30 Saturday morning. When fire fighters arrived they found smoke coming from the second story of the building, Morgan’s lifeless body was found in a bedroom.  The fire was contained to her apartment, but there is water damage throughout the building. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.  The cause of death is pending the results of toxicology reports.
